Supremasi Yesus Kristus dalam Perspektif Teologi Kovenan: Analisis Teologis Ibrani 1:1-4

This paper aims to theologically analyze Hebrews 1:1-4 to find the supremacy of Jesus Christ from the perspective of covenant theology. Hebrews 1:1-4 explains the superiority of Jesus Christ compared to the prophets of the Old Covenant. Even Jesus Christ is superior to the heavenly beings. From a covenantal perspective, Jesus Christ is central to the fulfillment of God's covenant. Jesus Christ succeeded in mediating the relationship between God and humanity that had been broken by sin. The supremacy of Jesus Christ also signifies his superiority in the priestly system. The supremacy of Jesus Christ signifies that He excelled in keeping the covenant of works that man failed to maintain due to his sinfulness. Hebrews 1:1-4 frames the supremacy of Jesus Christ that can be seen and explored through the perspective of covenant theology. Using a descriptive qualitative method, the author will theologically analyze Hebrews 1:1-4 to know the supremacy of Jesus Christ and relate it to the perspective of covenant theology. The author asserts that the dominance of Jesus Christ in Hebrews 1:1-4, viewed through the lens of a covenant perspective, has positive implications for Christian theology and the spiritual life of the church.Â

Abstrak
Tulisan ini bertujuan untuk menganalisa secara teologis Ibrani 1:1-4 untuk menemukan supremasi Yesus Kristus dalam perspektif teologi kovenan. Ibrani 1:1-4 menjelaskan keunggulan Yesus Kristus dibandingkan oleh para nabi Perjanjian Lama. Bahkan Yesus Kristus lebih unggul daripada para mahkluk sorgawi. Dalam perspektif kovenan, Yesus Kristus merupakan pusat pemenuhan kovenan Allah. Yesus Kristus berhasil dalam memediasi hubungan antara Allah dengan manusia yang telah rusak oleh dosa. Supremasi Yesus Kristus juga menandakan keunggulannya dalam sistem keimaman. Supremasi Yesus Kristus menandakan bahwa Yesus Kristus unggul dalam mentaati kovenan kerja yang gagal ditaati manusia karena keberdosaannya. Ibrani 1:1-4 membingkai supremasi Yesus Kristus yang dapat dilihat dan ditelusuti melalui perspektif teologi kovenan. Dengan menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif, penulis akan menganalisa secara teologis Ibrani 1:1-4 untuk melihat supremasi Yesus Kristus dan mengkaitkannya dalam persepktif teologi kovenan. Penulis menyatakan bahwa supremasi Yesus Kristus dalam Ibrani 1:1-4 melalui perspektif kovenan memberikan implikasi positif dalam teologi Kristen dan kehidupan rohani jemaat.
