Abstract

Indonesia's pluralistic society, characterized by complex religious, ethnic, and cultural diversity, presents both challenges and opportunities for Christian education. In the face of increasing social upheaval characterized by identity polarization, SARA-based conflicts, and the disintegration of social cohesion due to digital dynamics, Christian education necessitates a paradigmatic reorientation to address contemporary realities both theologically and pedagogically. This article proposes hospitality as an alternative paradigm for Christian educational theology that is relevant to the context of Indonesian pluralism. The study's findings indicate that the hospitality paradigm offers a creative synthesis between the particularity of the Christian faith and the universality of the call to love one's neighbor, thereby enabling Christian education to serve as an agent of social reconciliation without sacrificing its theological integrity. This article contributes to the development of contextual Indonesian Christian educational theology that is responsive to the challenges of pluralism and contemporary social disruption.
