Leadership is always related to how leaders influence followers. The responsibility to trust and share leadership will arise from the friendship between leaders and followers. Good friendship means cultivating a vast network of positive behaviors and attitudes towards one another. Ideal leadership happens when leadership is based on love. Jesus loved all people, including those from diverse cultural, linguistic, and religious backgrounds. Jesus built a community with his disciples, then, now, and forever, where being a friend is a gift from Jesus. It is this principle of friendship that Jesus imposed on the disciples in John 15:15.

Abstrak
Kepemimpinan selalu berkaitan dengan bagaimana pemimpin mempengaruhi pengikut. Tanggung jawab untuk saling mempercayai dan berbagi satu sama lain dalam kepemimpinan akan muncul seiring dengan persahabatan yang terjalin antara pemimpin dan pengikut. Persahabatan yang baik berarti menciptakan jaringan yang luas dengan perilaku dan sikap yang positif, satu sama lain. Kepemimpinan yang ideal terjadi ketika kepemimpinan didasarkan pada kasih. Yesus mencintai semua orang pada umumnya, bahkan dengan latar belakang budaya, bahasa dan agama yang berbeda. Yesus membangun komunitas bersama murid-muridnya sejak dulu, kini dan selamanya, dimana keberadaan sahabat adalah anugrah dari Yesus. Prinsip sahabat inilah yang dikenakan Yesus pada murid-murid dalam Yohanes 15:15.
