Abstract

Questions about existence like “why am I exist” or “what is the purpose of my existence?” at least we’ve questioned once. There is two kind of answer, those who believe the purpose themselves has been established from the beginning, and those others who feel the meaning of life is decided by themselves. Therefore, how is the scheme of participation in Trinity? Are humans participating as a responsibility because human is the creation, or is participation a response to mankind's existence? To respond to the problem, this study will explore Jean-Paul Sartre’s existentialism to reveal the basic scheme of human responsibility for their actions. Afterward, the result will be analyzed by using the lenses of heteronomy and autonomy ethics, and the lens of humans is the image of Christ. The purpose of this study is to reinforce that human participation in Trinitiy is an attempt to fulfill the responsibility of his existence as the image of Christ in humans' freedom.
