Analisis Eksegesis Efesus 1:15-23 dan Implikasinya bagi Fondasi Otoritas Pelayanan Supernatural pada Gereja Masa Kini

Abstrak

Contemporary theological discourse tends toward two opposing extremes: charismatic traditions that privilege experiential encounter without rigorous exegetical grounding, and cessationist traditions that categorically deny the ongoing operation of miraculous gifts beyond the apostolic era. Both tendencies reveal a common deficit, namely, the absence of a robust biblical-theo-logical foundation for the authority of supernatural ministry. This article addresses that deficit through a historical-grammatical exegesis of Ephesians 1:15-23. Employing lexical, syntactical, and theological analysis, this study argues that Paul constructs the authority of supernatural ministry upon four interlocking theological pillars: the Spirit of wisdom and revelation as the epistemological ground of ministry (Eph. 1:17-18); the resurrection power of Christ as the ontological source of ec-clesial authority (Eph. 1:19-20); the cosmic supremacy of the exalted Christ over all spiritual powers (Eph. 1:21); and the organic union of the church as the body under Christ as its head (Eph. 1:22-23). The findings demonstrate that authentic supernatural ministry is not grounded in charismatic experience or personal gifting but in the trinitarian work of God, expressed through the resurrection and exaltation of Christ and applied by the Holy Spirit within the body of Christ. This study contributes a christocentric, pneumatological, and ecclesiological framework for evaluating and practicing supernatural ministry in the contemporary church.

Diskursus teologi kontemporer cenderung terpolarisasi antara dua ekstrem yang saling bertentangan: tradisi karismatik yang mengutamakan pengalaman spiritual tanpa landasan eksegesis yang memadai, dan tradisi cessationist yang secara kategoris menolak berlangsungnya karunia mukjizat setelah era para rasul. Kedua kecenderungan ini mengungkapkan satu defisit yang sama, yakni absennya fondasi biblika-teologis yang kokoh bagi otoritas pelayanan supernatural. Artikel ini menjawab defisit tersebut melalui eksegesis historis-gramatikal atas Efesus 1:15-23. Dengan menggunakan analisis leksikal, sintaksis, dan teologis, penelitian ini berargumen bahwa Paulus membangun otoritas pelayanan supernatural di atas empat pilar teologis yang saling mengunci: Roh hikmat dan wahyu sebagai dasar epistemologis pelayanan (Ef. 1:17-18); kuasa kebangkitan Kristus sebagai sumber ontologis otoritas eklesial (Ef. 1:19-20); supremasi kosmis Kristus yang ditinggikan atas seluruh kuasa spiritual (Ef. 1:21); dan persatuan organik gereja sebagai tubuh di bawah Kristus sebagai Kepala (Ef. 1:22-23). Temuan penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pelayanan supernatural yang autentik tidak berpusat pada pengalaman karismatik atau karunia individual, melainkan pada karya Trinitas Allah yang dinyatakan melalui kebangkitan dan pengangkatan Kristus serta diterapkan oleh Roh Kudus di dalam tubuh Kristus. Penelitian ini menyumbangkan kerangka kristosentris, pneumatologis, dan eklesiologis bagi evaluasi dan praktik pelayanan supernatural dalam gereja masa kini.
