Penderitaan sebagai Ekspresi Kasih Karunia Yesus Kristus: Refleksi Teologi 1 Petrus 2:18-25

Suffering is a frightening specter for some people, so there are so many efforts made by some people to be free from what is called suffering, whether it is people who do not believe in Jesus Christ or who believe in Jesus Christ. Ironically, some people who believe in Jesus Christ often use the Bible by quoting a few verses in the Bible as reference to justify their arguments. In particular it relates to suffering without looking cohesive and comprehensive, so as to treat suffering as acurse. By denying all the data, arguments and facts that speak that the suffering of believers is not always synonymous with curses but the suffering of believers is the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ. They suffer because of their faith and conviction in defending the truths taught and modeled by the Lord Jesus Christ.
Abstrak
Penderitaan adalah momok yang menakutkan bagi sebagian orang sehingga ada begitu banyak upaya yang dilakukan oleh sebagian orang untuk terbebas dari yang namanya penderitaan, baik itu orang yang tidak beriman kepada Yesus Kristus maupun orang yang beriman kepada Yesus Kristus. Ironisnya bagi sebagian orang yang percaya kepada Yesus Kristus seringkali menggunakan Alkitab dengan mengutip segelintir ayat dalam Alkitab sebagai referensi untuk membenarkan argumentasi mereka. Secara khusus berkaitan dengan penderitaan tanpa melihat secara kohesif dan kompreshensif, sehingga menyikapi segala penderitaan sebagai kutuk. Dengan menafikan segala data, dalil dan fakta yang berbicara bahwa penderitaan orang percaya tidak selalu identik dengan kutuk tetapi penderitaan orang percaya adalah kasih karunia Tuhan, Yesus Kristus. Mereka menderita karena iman dan keyakinan mereka di dalam mempertahankan kebenaran yang diajarkan dan diteladankan oleh Tuhan, Yesus Kristus.
