Abstract
This article analyzes the role of the church as a catalyst for social cohesion through prophetic ecclesiology in a pluralistic, polarized society. The study employs a qualitative approach through a literature review that integrates systematic theology and contemporary social analysis. The results of the study show that a holistic soteriology that integrates spiritual and social dimensions is the foundation of prophetic ecclesiology. Social fragmentation is understood as a manifestation of ruptura communionis, which demands a serious theological response. Prophesy-based ecclesiology is formulated through five constitutive characteristics: prophetic criticism, solidarity with the oppressed, constructive vision formulation, intergroup dialogue, and contextual responsiveness. The article offers a practical implementation model through community-based, faith-based social movements, interfaith alliances, and prophetic teaching. Despite facing substantive obstacles, the prospect of the church as an agent of social change remains open through commitment to long-term transformation and ongoing learning.
