Memahami Karakteristik Gembala dalam Pembacaan Yohanes 10:11-16

This research aims to explore the characteristics of a shepherd based on the Gospel of John 10:11-16. This research uses an exegetical method that interprets Bible verses and approaches the Bible hermeneutic method. Through this method, researchers found the characteristics of a shepherd in the Gospel of John 10:11-16. Some of these characteristics consist of a good shepherd while maintaining his identity as a pastor, having the willingness to dare to sacrifice for the congregation, having an attitude of totality in serving the congregation, creating reciprocal communication to get to know each other with the congregation, maintaining a relationship of mutual trust between the pastor and the congregation.
Abstrak
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menggali karakteristik seorang gembala berdasarkan Injil Yohanes 10:11-16. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode eksegesis yang bersifat menafsir ayat Alkitab dan mendekati metode hermeneutik Alkitab. Melalui metode ini peneliti menemukan dalam Injil Yohanes 10:11-16 terdapat karakteristik seorang gembala. Beberapa karakteristik itu terdiri atas gembala yang baik tetap mempertahankan identitasnya sebagai seorang gembala, memiliki kerelaan hati untuk berani berkorban bagi jemaat, memiliki sikap totalitas dalam melayani jemaat, menciptakan komunikasi timbal balik untuk saling mengenal bersama jemaat, menjaga hubungan saling percaya antara gembala dan jemaat.
