This study seeks to explore the role of Christian leadership in sustaining critical discernment regarding the impact of Artificial Intelligence (AI) on Christian religious education. Amid the rapid progression of digital technologies, there emerges a growing risk of diminished critical capacity among both learners and educators due to increasing reliance on AI systems. Christian leadership, rooted in theological values and the ethics of faith, serves a vital role in nurturing awareness, reflective engagement, and critical attitudes toward the use of technology. Employing a qualitative approach and literature-based analysis, this study finds that visionary and transformative Christian leaders are able to uphold the integrity of the learning process by balancing technological innovation with faith-based principles. Critical analysis is thus essential to ensure that Christian religious education does not succumb solely to efficiency but continues to emphasize character formation, spiritual depth, and intellectual growth. Therefore, Christian leadership is indispensable in ensuring that the implementation of AI supports—rather than replaces—the core values of faith-based education.
